About the Pastor

Fr. James G. Kiffmeyer was appointed to Holy Family in May 2008.  Leading the parish as it began its 125th Anniversary/Jubilee year would be his first project.  In the summer and fall of 2008 many maintenance projects were undertaken.  The terra cotta from the steeples of Church was refurbished, new windows were put in the Cafeteria, and Children’s Church was repainted with new flooring installed.  A new altar, tabernacle, and vesting cabinet were placed in the Chapel in the Ministry Center.  As a result of the Chapel renovation the daily Prayer Groups began meeting in the Chapel thus abandoning the Prayer Room in the back of church making it available for other uses.  The former Prayer Room was converted into the Parish Library and Museum—a gift to the parish to commemorate the 125th Anniversary.  Books available to the parishioners on various topics could be borrowed and display cases containing parish memorabilia were received with great excitement by the people.  The changing displays added much to the parish’s already rich history.

Fr. Jim continues to move the parish forward with energy, vision and purpose.
