Adult Faith Formation Opportunities

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

Adults who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church are invited to attend RCIA sessions of inquiry. During these sessions interested persons will meet with RCIA team members, persons who have been specially trained for this ministry. They will welcome you and spend time with you, working and praying as witnesses for Jesus Christ and for this Church. The RCIA team will be there to assist teach, and serve you.

Later, through prayer and discernment during sessions of inquiry, individuals hopefully will realize their calling to enter further into preparation; a period whereby each candidate becomes prepared and ready for full fellowship as a member of the Catholic Church, through the Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism Eucharist and Confirmation. Please note, intercessors are already praying for you.

RCIA for Children

Parents, if your child has expressed an interest in the Catholic Church, and it is your belief that it is indeed a serious desire, we would very much like to meet with each of you together.

Allowing your child to pursue this interest, learning more about Jesus and the Church, can be a beautiful time in your life. Attending RCIA sessions together can draw you closer in relationship with God, as well as with your child. Please pray for guidance on this very important, life-changing decision.

RCIA Sponsor Ministry

Each year, as individuals begin inquiry about the Catholic Church, something beautiful is happening. Literally, thousands of prayers are being answered from Christians around the world.

Closer to home, from family and friends we realize also that others here have been praying, as well. We see this as God’s grace in action; evidence of still more blessings to come. Each inquirer requires someone praying, encouraging, and working with them through discernment and studies. This is so important. Please consider being that Sponsor for the person God may be calling you to assist.

Bible Study/Parish Programs

Periodically, Bible Study and special Parish Programs are offered for our parish, our neighborhood, and all parties interested in obtaining a richer and more spiritual understanding of the Bible. Usually these sessions are held during the Advent and Lenten seasons. This timing equips us to better reflect on the liturgical times we are celebrating and allows us to grow in the Word of the Lord.

All Bible Study and Parish Programs are announced well in advance in our Church bulletin and that of other Westside Churches.
