Prayer Opportunities

Prayer Groups

The Holy Hour Prayer Group consists of daily scripture readings and prayer; leaving the majority of the hour for silent personal prayer or reflection.

For more information, contact Al Schirmer at 471-4257. Scheduled times are Monday thru Thursday 6:30 p.m., Sunday and Holydays 7:30 a.m. in the Ministry Center Chapel.

The Mercy Prayer Hour  meets every Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the Ministry Center Chapel. The focus is on Jesus’ Divine Mercy by reciting the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, honoring the Blessed Mother by praying the rosary and reading the scripture of the day, with the Blessed Sacrament exposed.

Contact Al Schirmer at 471-4257 for further details.

Prayer Chain

The power of prayer is at your beck and call. Prayers of support in times of need are offered through our Prayer Chain. All requests are honored and are kept strictly confidential. We are always looking for dedicated prayers. Consider remembering the needs of others as you say your daily prayers.

If you or someone you know is in need of prayer or if you would like to be a prayer partner, contact Al Schirmer at 471-4257.

Prayer Request Petitions

In the continuing attempt to be able to meet the prayer needs of all our parishioners, we have placed a book entitled “Prayer Requests” in the back of Church by the Holy Family Statue. Jot down your prayer needs for yourself, your family, your friends, and your community. Fr. Jim  has asked our Daily Prayer Groups to pray for these intentions everyday as they gather. There is no limit to the requests you jot down and no request is too monumental or insignificant.

We ask you to include the prayer needs of our parishioners listed in the Prayer Request book in your personal daily prayers.

Holy Family Memorial Fund

A perpetual Memorial Fund has been established to honor the deceased and living through remembrances by their family and friends. A Memorial Mass will be offered each month for all those enrolled in the Memorial Fund. A list of those honored will be published twice a year in the Church bulletin: May and November. This fund will help to provide altar and liturgical supplies.

To enroll a loved one in this perpetual fund, please contact the Parish Office at 921-7527 ext 0.

First Saturday Rosary

On the first Saturday of every month the rosary is sponsored by members of the Catholic War Veterans. This rosary is said at 3:30 p.m. in the Parish Library and Museum in Church - preceding the 4:00 p.m. Mass. Your participation is encouraged.

If you would like to assist in leading the rosary, contact Leland Schneider at 574-1819.

RCIA – Parish Prayers

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the RCIA team requests your prayerful support. Your prayers are important. Please pray for team members, inquirers, candidates, and sponsors. As indicated below, “by Baptism we have been integrated and made sharers in the mission of the whole Christian people in the Church”. A short prayer offered daily can produce remarkable results in our Parish. Please join us in this effort. Thank you.

“The Lay Faithful” The faithful, who by Baptism are incorporated into Christ and integrated into the People of God, are made sharers in their particular way in the priestly, prophetic, and kingly  office of Christ, and have their own part to play in the mission of the whole Christian people in the church and in the world.” CCC 897
